JazzatLincolnCenterLogoDon't be superstitious - Friday the 13th don't mean a thing when you've got that swing! Unleash your inner jazz diva and get your sexy little black dress ready for a swinging evening with The Black Dress Traveler at Jazz at Lincoln CenterDon't miss this celebration of the centennial of the First Lady of Jazz, pianist and composer Mary Lou Williams. Red hot performances by Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, Geri Allen and Geoffrey Keezer are guranteed to get the joint jumping!

Our evening will begin at 6:30 pm with wine, cheese, and red velvet cupcakes (Desserts by Sasha) in the private Patrons Lounge. To get you jazz ready, Brown Candy Designs professional makeup artists will add a dash of glam to your look with a mini-makeover. Each guest will also receive a custom scented Jazz Diva gift from Bath Junkie (voted Best Beauty Store by NY Magazine.)

MaryLouWilliamsAfter the reception, we will sashay our fabulous selves over to our ORCHESTRA SEATS (tickets will be distributed at the reception) in the Rose Theater to join in the musical celebration of the life of Mary Lou Williams! From her early works as an arranger of the swing era to her ambitious extended works like the classic Zodiac Suite, Mary Lou's music was profound and beautiful.

Tickets to this event have been generously donated by my lovely friends at Jazz at Lincoln Center and have a value of $95-$120!  As a sign of my appreciation, The Black Dress Traveler will donate a portion of the proceeds from our divas night out to Jazz at Lincoln Center's, Middle School Jazz Academy (MSJA). MSJA offers tuition free instrumental jazz instruction to New York City middle school students.

A limited number of tickets are available for this very special evening, I encourage you to reserve early! Tickets will be distributed at the reception.
All purchases are strictly final sale. No refunds.
All guests must be 21 and over.
